1982 Nighthawk321 viewsThis is my newly purchased Nighthawk. I have had it for about two months, & I love it. I have not had a bike since college, about 20 years ago (a 1976 CB 550four). Due to the cold weather I have only logged about 100 miles. Looking foreward to Spring!Jan 14, 2010

Police CB650PZ709 viewsUsed by the New Zealand Ministry of Transport as pursuit/traffic control bikes from 1982 to 84 but manufactured in Japan as specialist Police bikes from 1979 so mechanical carbs. Wiring bears no resmblance to stock CB650Z so like me just luck and guess work.Apr 04, 2009

Baffle for Motosickle (final result)557 viewsSo, after having the washer halves welded in place, an adapter section (about 3.25 inches in diameter) was welded onto end of the main section. I then wrapped it in high temp fiberglass, inserted it into the Vance & Hines end section, bolted it in place and TADA! A toned down, but still meaty sounding pipe. I'm not sure if this helped with MPG. I'm presuming it did. I'm pretty happy with the result overall. Thanks to the guy who posted a tutorial like this on the net.Aug 21, 2008

Baffle for Motosickle509 viewsThe Vance & Hines pipe that came on the bike when I purchased it did not have a baffle/muffler. Let me tell you, that thing could wake someone in the neighborhood next to mine. So, as cheap as I am, and to see if I could do it, I decided to make my own baffle, using the metal shop at work and some extra pipe laying around. I bought some fender washers, chopped em' in half, cut some slits in the 2" pipe, drilled a buttload of holes and had a buddy weld it up, because I have no grace when it comes to that.Aug 21, 2008
